Road Improvement of Klenangkidul – Pekalen Road Section Probolinggo Regency

Abstract

The importance of transportation in regional development, especially in Probolinggo Regency, with a focus on the Klenang Kidul – Pekalen road section, which has suffered significant damage. The problem formulation includes the existing condition of the road using the Surface Distress Index (SDI) method, suitable construction, and cost budget estimation. This research uses the 2024 pavement design manual method and limits the location to the Klenangkidul – Pekalen road section with the basic unit price of the Probolinggo Regency area. The purpose of the study was to determine the existing road conditions, construction improvements, and cost budget estimates. The benefits of the research include a positive impact on economic growth and additional references for Narotama University Surabaya. The originality of the research is based on differences in objects and outputs compared to previous studies. The systematic report writing includes five chapters: introduction, literature review, research methodology, analysis and discussion, conclusion, and suggestions, followed by bibliography and appendix
