Abstract

Jalan Raya Wiyung is the main road connecting West Surabaya with South and Central Surabaya. Daily traffic on this road is extremely dense, especially during the morning and evening rush hours. Jalan Raya Wiyung is burdened by various vehicles such as city buses, travel cars, or company trucks with quite large tonnage, which causes the road body to experience a decrease in the soil structure, causing the retaining wall to shift towards the river. The object studied by the author is the road body that collapsed due to the shifting of the original soil that pressed/pushed the retaining wall at 3 (three) points on Jalan Raya Wiyung-Babatan on the south side. In conducting this research, the author employed a quantitative method. The stages carried out by the researcher began with a literature study (a literature review related to the research), followed by field observations. Data collection and data processing in this study are divided into two, namely primary data and secondary data. The stages of handling road construction damage are the first installation of CCSP and the second reconstruction of the road body. One of the factors in choosing CCSP as a retaining wall is because of the economic factor and the durability of the material in the long term. For road reconstruction, the first stage after stripping the road is the LPB embankment wrapped in 45 cm-thick geotextile. Then the LPA embankment is 25 cm thick. After that, HRS BC 3.5 cm is spread, and finally, the top layer of HRS WC 3 cm.
