Abstract

PDAM Surya Sembada is a business unit owned by the Surabaya City Government, which is tasked with fulfilling the clean water needs of the community. PDAM Surabaya City distributes clean water to the Zone 2 service area using IPAM Ngagel II, Ngagel III, and IPAM Karang Pilang III with a production capacity of 4,959 liters/second. Along with the population growth rate in the East Surabaya area, which is included in zone 2, the need for clean water has also increased. This study will review the water needs in the Zone 2 area for the next 10 years. To achieve the objectives of this study, the author used data collection techniques by analyzing population growth, domestic and non-domestic water needs, and water loss. Population growth analysis uses 3 methods, namely arithmetic, geometric, and exponential. The results of the population analysis using the geometric method, with a population growth rate of 0.02% obtained a population of 1,128,530 people in 2033. The total clean water requirement in the service area of zone 2 PDAM Surabaya City in 2033 is 2323.88 liters/second, the maximum daily requirement is 2672.47 liters/second, and the water requirement at peak hours is 3485.83 liters/second. The water availability projection is 4,130.80 liters/second, and excess water is 1,883.62 liters/second in 2033, so it can meet the clean water needs of the community in the service area of Zone 2 PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya City.
